About the UTA Moot Court Association

The UTA Moot Court Association was founded in 1996. Since this time, the Texas Undergraduate Moot Court Association (TUMCA - more) has created a problem that involves a constitutional law case and UTA has competed in this tournaments since this clubs inception. This problem is then argued in a series of tournaments (usually 3 plus nationals) that are hosted at various schools throughout the state of Texas.

The Moot Court Association begins when the problems are released by TUMCA, sometimes before school starts, however, because the tournaments are spaced out, you can join the team at any time.

The moot court team at UTA has meetings once or twice a week, depending on the specific needs of its members.
